How would you describe the relationship between your wellness practices and personal style?
I believe that true wellness is about moving through life with ease as much as possible. Having routines, practices and rituals that are enjoyable, that don’t feel like a burden and can always re-center you, even in challenging times.
Dressing is similar — my style has a consistent foundation that carries me through everyday life. I like to be practical, unfussy, and always begin with great staples before building out the outfit with more interesting pieces.
In both wellness and style, I like to keep things simple, consistent, and foundational so they never have to feel forced.
What pieces in your wardrobe instantly bring you back to yourself?
At my very core, it will always be a great white long sleeve t-shirt and a pair of vintage Levi's.
What wellness rituals are non-negotiable for you?
I think the most profound wellness habits are the simplest ones — and the most sustainable. Hydration, daily steps, a varied diet focused on whole, single food ingredients, good sleep, and learning how to manage stress as best as possible. Those are my true non-negotiables.
Some things that help me accomplish this: a cute water bottle makes drinking more enjoyable, committing to walks with friends holds me accountable and brings me joy. I love a Sunday trip to the farmers market; stocking up my fridge for the week sets me up for success in making beautiful meals at home. Winding down before bed with a good book and putting away my phone has had a profound impact on my sleep. And if I’m being honest, I’m still working on the de-stress part — but even just five minutes of breathwork or a hug from my husband and dog Oscar makes me feel calmer.
