1. How would you describe the relationship between your wellness practices and personal style?
My wellness journey has been deeply connected to my journey with fashion - it’s shaped what intrigues me when it comes to shapes, styles and the kind of pieces I want to create. As I’ve grown into a more holistic and grounded version of myself, my style and vision for the future of DL has evolved too - I find myself drawn to better fabrics and quality pieces that are made to last with emphasis on flattering silhouettes that support how I want to feel and want others to feel.
Just like I nourish myself with whole foods, movement, sunlight, and quality sleep, I gravitate toward designs and fabrics that embody the same care and intention. I find myself less swayed by consumerism and fleeting trends, and more devoted to designing pieces with longevity that can be styled, accessorized, and truly lived in.
My love for simplicity - both in how I live and what I want to wear, has naturally led to our focus on matching sets.
2. What is a piece or pieces in your wardrobe that instantly brings your back to yourself?
A comfortable matching set (of course) - something knit that moves with me. I love to take a matching set and dress it up or down, accessorize it. It’s the kind of thing that transitions seamlessly throughout my day, whether I’m at home taking meetings and working on projects, out running to appointments, or picking up groceries.
3. What rituals are non-negotiable for you? What are little things you do throughout the day to stay balanced?
Daily podcasts (Current Favs: The Skinny Confidential, Rooted in Wellness, & The Human Upgrade), taking my vitamins (Current Favs: Magnesium Glycinate Complex, Liposomal Glutathione & Electrolytes), detoxing in the sauna, going on walks, and romanticizing my morning coffee (Current Favs: Bullet Proof & Biodynamic coffee).
